First things first. Quit smoking completely before you start using Commit® Lozenges. Remember that nicotine lozenges are medicine and you've got to use them a certain way to get results.
To improve your chances of quitting:
- Use at least nine Commit Lozenges a day for six weeks. Do not continuously use one lozenge after another, since this may cause hiccups, heartburn, nausea or other side effects.
To get the most out of Commit:
- Do not eat or drink 15 minutes before using, or while the lozenge is in your mouth.
- Do not use more than one lozenge at a time or continuously use one lozenge after another. Doing so may cause hiccups, heartburn, nausea or other side effects. See 12 Weeks to Being Smoke Free chart for proper usage.
- Do not use more than five lozenges in six hours, or more than 20 lozenges total per day.
It is important to complete your Commit quit program at the end of 12 weeks, so stop using Commit at that time. If you still feel the need to use it, talk to your doctor.
